Paul Schweizer, Sr.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul E. Schweizer, Sr. , 68, of Harveys Lake, PA, who died suddenly as a result of a vehicular accident on Wednesday evening, November 6, 2024.  Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late William, Sr. and Ida (Apice) Schweizer.  Paul and his best friend, his brother Walter Schweizer, founded Schweizer Fire Protection Co., Philadelphia, and enjoyed operating the family business together.

He was an amazing father who devoted his life to his children and family, and he will be remembered lovingly as always smiling, sharing stories and warm embraces with his 12 grandchildren, and always lending a kind hand to lift up others.

Paul leaves behind his daughters, Janet Schweizer, wife of Justin Hauck of Lakeville, MA, and Cheryl L. Schweizer, wife of Zachary Kaiser of Independence, MO, and his son, Paul E., Jr. and wife Laura of Dallas, PA.  His loving and playful spirit lives on in his 12 grandchildren: Madilyn, Ethan, Joscelyn, Leah, Keira, Lacey, Margot, Maisie, Weston, Gavin, Olive, and Elsie.

He also leaves behind his brother, Walter Schweizer and wife Cathy of Harveys Lake, along with several nieces and nephews.

As we say goodby to an incredible man let us remember his laughter, kindness, and unwavering love, as he shall be missed more than words can express.
