Pauline "Paula" I (Bohar) Lendvay , 94, of Columbia Avenue, Palmerton, PA, died peacefully early Wednesday morning at The Palmerton Personal Care Home. She was the wife of the late Joseph C. Lendvay, Sr. who passed in 2008. Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Sidonia (Ruzics) Bohar.
Pauline began her career as a bookkeeper at the former Scotty's Fashions Co., Palmerton, then took several years off to raise her family. She went back to work for the Palmerton Area School District Earned Income Tax Office, eventually serving as the District's Earned Income Tax Officer until her retirement in 1989. Pauline was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton. A 1947 graduate of the Palmerton High School, she continued her education and later graduated from the Bethlehem Business School. Over the years she enjoyed volunteering for the Miller Blood Mobile, the former Palmerton Exchange Club, and the Palmerton School District PTA. Although, she was happiest when she was with her kids.
Survivors: Daughters, Jane L. wife of David Conley of Carlisle, and Joann M. Lendvay of West Reading. Sons, Joseph C. Jr. and wife Lori of Shermans Dale, PA, and James A. and wife Karen of Coventry, CT. 3 grandchildren, Joseph R., Nicole (Mike) Mirigliotta, and Rebecca (Derek Carson) Lendvay. 1 great-grandson. 4 nieces and 1 nephew. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Louise, and sisters, Margaret Potter, Alice Brown, and brothers, Louis, Alexander Jr., and John, as well as three much loved brothers-in-law and their wives.

Call, 7:00-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2023, and 8:30-9:30 a.m., Wednesday at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.
