Peter J. Focht, 82 of Walnutport, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at his residence. Born on November 26, 1935 in Northampton, PA, he was the son of the late Nicholas Focht, Sr. and the late Elizabeth (Moosch) Focht.
He was employed by Reichard-Coulston Paint Mill in Bethlehem as the supervisor of the yellow oxide plant for 30 years before retiring in 1991. He served as a SFP3 in the Navy from 1955 until 1959. He was a Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Howard L. Peter American Legion Post 576 in Allentown. He was an avid hunter and loved to go fishing with his family.
Surviving are daughters, Audrey wife of Cort Steigerwalt of Slatington, PA and Connie Smith of Emmaus, PA, sister, Mrs. Beatrice Green of Lehigh Twp., PA; grandchildren, Robert, Austin, and Kristen. He was predeceased by brother, Nicholas Focht, Jr., sister, Elizabeth Groller and companion, Doris Svitilla.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA.
