Queen Ann Sodl

Queen Ann Sodl , 76 of Coplay, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born June 30, 1947 in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Sterling Nonnemacher and the late Anna (Reichenbach) Nonnemacher. She was the wife of Herman J. Sodl with whom she shared 50 plus years of marriage this past August 14.

Queen was last employed by the Whitehall / Coplay School District as a food server for 32 years before retiring in 2021. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall, PA.  Queen loved being a Mimi to her two granddaughters and following them throughout their sporting events. She also cherished her time she spent serving the students and working with her fellow co-workers in the Whitehall High School cafeteria.

Surviving along with her husband Herman are son, Gregory J. Sodl and wife Tiffany of Whitehall, PA; daughter, Michelle A., wife of Richard Kern, Jr. of Coplay, PA; and, two granddaughters; Allison and Emily.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday September 18, 2023, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, PA 18052. With the Rev. Manuel Stivers officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service in the Gathering Place of the Church.   Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067 has been entrusted with her care and service.
