Ramona J. Love, 89, of Tannersville, PA, entered Heaven on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at her residence. Born December 12, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William Ponce and the late Martha (Grant) Ponce. Ramona was the loving wife of the late David Love for 24 years, before his passing in 2000.
She started her working career at Valerie Fashions and then transitioned to being a waitress at the Lantern Restaurant, where she met David. The two then opened Wheeler's Diner in Stroudsburg, PA, and ran it for a few years before selling it. Ramona then went back to work as a waitress at the Plaza Restaurant for a few years before opening the Antique Barn & Coffee Shop, which she ran up until retirement. In her free time Ramona enjoyed sewing, needle work, and reading. She loved to spend time in her flower garden, but most importantly, she cherished being a grand & great grandmother.
Survivors: Daughter, Ramona J. Shupp and husband Joseph. Sons, Bill Pene and wife Kori, and Joseph Oliver. Sister, Martha Patrick. 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Daniel Pene, and brothers, William, Edward, Richard, and Joseph Ponce.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held privately for the family. Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton PA, has been entrusted with her care. Interment will follow in St. Vladimir's Upper Cemetery, Palmerton, PA. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com
