Reed R. Berger

Reed R. Berger , 92, of Pine Drive, Lehighton, Franklin Township, died peacefully Thursday morning, January 30, 2025, in his home.  He was the husband of Jeanette I. (Schwab) Berger since September 28, 1957.  Born in Franklin Township, he was a son of the late Robert D., Sr. and Bertha (Reed) Berger.

Reed was employed as a crane operator for the Air Products and Chemical Co., Allentown, for over 32 years.  He was a member and former councilman of St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Weissport.  A 1952 graduate of the Lehighton High School, he later served in the Army, Korea Era, achieving the rank of CPL (T).  Reed enjoyed building and restoring classic and antique vehicles in his spare time.

Survivors: Wife.  Son, Dennis R. and wife Elizabeth of White Haven, East Side Borough.  2 grandchildren, Alexis, and Devin.  Brother, Robert D., Jr. and wife Ferne of Franklin Township.  Several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sisters, Virginia Berger, and Jessie Fahey.
