Richard W. Anderson

Richard W. Anderson, 88 of Westminster Village, Allentown, PA, formerly of Nazareth, PA. passed away peacefully on Friday, August 6, 2021. Born July 31, 1933 in Titusville, PA, he was the son of the late Carl W. Anderson and the late Marion (Tolan) Anderson. He was the husband of Nancy J. (Williams) Anderson with whom he shared 55 years of marriage this past July 30, 2021.

Richard was a graduate of Titusville High School and attended Edinboro University before enlisting in the military. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He completed an Associate's degree in business from Welch's Business College before graduating from the PA Game Commission's Ross Leffler School of Conservation. He was employed by the PA Game Commission for 38 years. He was passionate about his work and showed a life-long commitment to educating the public about wildlife conservation and hunter safety. He spent countless hours teaching and educating through many Lehigh Valley Sportsmen organizations, many of which he also personally belonged. He was a member of St. John's U.C.C. Church, Nazareth, PA, where he was a Deacon, served as consistory member, and was involved in several church committees throughout the years. He was a member of F.& A. M. Whitfield Lodge #622, Nazareth, where he served as Past Worshipful Master.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Carl N. Anderson and wife Tanya of Fountain Hill, PA; daughter, Rebecca wife of Erik Nowery of Easton, PA; 2 grandsons, Mason and Grant Nowery.

A private memorial service for the family will be held at the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street Nazareth, PA. 18064
