Richard C. Snyder

Richard C. Snyder, Jr. , 75, of Mauch Chunk Road, Palmerton, PA, died peacefully early Sunday morning, September 4, 2022, in his home.  He was the husband of Sandra K. (Miller) Snyder since July 15, 1967.  Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Richard C. and Anna Mae (Grammes) Snyder.

Richard was employed as a millwright at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp., for 28 years.  Later, he worked in the maintenance dept. of DSC Logistics Co., Fogelsville, until retiring.  Richard enjoyed woodworking and tinkering on automobiles in his garage.  A Navy Veteran of Vietnam, he achieved the rank of MM2 (E-5) along with the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars.

Survivors: Wife.  Daughters, Suzanne wife of David Cowan of Orange Park, FL, Rozanne wife of Colby Garber of Perkasie, and Rachel Karpa of Palmerton.  6 grandchildren, Kristyn McNeish, Seth, Sadie, Hayden, Cassandra, and Riley.  2 great-grandchildren, Cayde, and David.  4 sisters, Shirley wife of Clyde Smith of Walnutport, Christine Rotan of Walhalla, SC, Carol wife of Brian Eroh of Shavertown, and Sharon Keown of Saluda, VA.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by granddaughter, Jennifer, and brother, Dallas Grammes.
