Richard W. Steigerwalt

Richard "Stegs" W. Steigerwalt, 87, of Franklin Avenue, Palmerton, PA, died early Tuesday morning, February 25, 2025, in his home.  He was the husband o the late Alice M. (Mackes) Steigerwalt who passed in 2001.  Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Althea A. (Rehrig) Steigerwalt.

Richard was employed an operator/mechanic for the Air Products Corp., Hometown, for over 35 years.  He was a 1955 graduate of the Palmerton High School.  Later, he served in the Navy, end of Korea Era, and beginning of the Vietnam Era.  He achieved the rank of AK3.

Survivors: Daughters, Kim Steigerwalt, and Michele L. wife of Michael Huszar, all of Palmerton.  Son, Richard W. and wife Lori of Palmerton.  7 grandchildren.  6 great-grandchildren.  Sisters, Cheryl Ravert, and Wilburta Bryfogle, both of Lehighton.  Several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister, Marlene Frantz.
