Richard Austin Teates

Richard "Austin" Teates , 85, formerly of Harvard Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died on Wednesday afternoon, February 26, 2020, at The Gardens for Memory Care, Easton.  Born in Morristown, NJ, he was a son of the late Gus and Clara (Young) Teates.

Austin was employed by various garment mills in the Morristown, NJ area.  He attended St. John's Episcopal Church, Palmerton.  A Navy Veteran, he served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict, and achieved the rank of S2/c.  He enjoyed auctions, antiques, and knitting.

Survivors: Brother, Robert Teates of Morristown, NJ.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by 13 siblings.
