Rita J. Grow

Rita J. Grow, 73 formerly of Lehighton, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Mountain City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hazel Township, PA. Born January 23, 1947 in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late David and Mary (Galgon) Dana. She was the wife of the late Wayne Grow with whom she shared 38 years of marriage before his death in 2005.

Rita was a long-time, active member of the former Lehighton Wesleyan Church. She took great pride in her faith. In her spare time, she was an avid bingo player. However, she took the most pride in being a mother and caring for her family.

Survivors: Sons, Wayne and wife Amy Grow of Lehighton, PA and Preston Grow of Kunkletown, PA.  Brother, Robert Dana of Tamaqua, PA.  Sisters, Rose Smith of Palmerton, PA and Karen Kerschner of Tamaqua, PA.  Grandchildren, Christina, Jasmine, and Theresa. 5 great-grandchildren, Layla, Tahlulah, Alfred, Ava, and Thorin.

Services: A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Miller Funeral Home, located at 137 Fairview Street-Union Hill Lehighton, PA 18235. Interment will follow at Gnaden Huetten Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday prior to the service. Please wear masks and observe social distancing protocols
