Rita M. Mlasgar

Rita M. Mlasgar, 95 of Allentown PA, formerly of Hazleton PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Above & Beyond at the Knights in Allentown. Born January 30, 1931 in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Stefanick and the late Margaret (Koval) Stefanick. She was married to John J. Mlasgar before his passing in November 1995.

Rita worked as a bookkeeper for Thomas Brother Gas Co. in Hazleton for over twenty years before retiring. After, she worked part time at Boscov's. She enjoyed playing cards, horse races, and going to Kentucky Derby.

Surviving are son, Joseph A. Mlasgar & Wife Bonnie of Northampton, PA, sister, Gazelle Heffner of Glen Mills, PA, Nephew, Dennis Balickie of Chester Springs, PA. Four grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. 18067. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery - Drums, PA.
