Robert G. Amey , 82, of Hahn's Dairy Road, Little Gap, Lower Towamensing Township, formerly of Franklin Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday evening, July 18, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.  He was the husband of Leslie C. (Craigie) Amey since November 18, 1978.  Born in Walnutport, he was a son of the late Paul L., Sr. and Ruth N. (Yehl) Amey.

Robert was employed for 41 years at American Nickeloid Company, Walnutport, retiring as watchman/security in 1997.  He was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Palmerton.  A 1952 graduate of the Slatington High School, he served his country honorably in the Army, Peacetime, Stateside, and achieved the rank of PFC (T).  Robert was an avid New York Yankees Fan, enjoyed hunting in Clinton County, and was an avid Civil War Buff.

Survivors: Wife, Leslie.  Sons, Michael D. and wife Mary Ellen Amey of Bethlehem, Ronald R. and wife Blanda Prutzman of Bath.  4 grandchildren, Tyler D., Patrick D., Christopher, and Chad.  2 great-grandchildren, Leo, and Gage.  Brother, Paul L., Jr. and wife Jill of Schnecksville.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Kim Ruth in 1971, and a sister, Shirley Riley.

Services: Private Graveside Services with Military Honors.  Interment will be at Union Cemetery, PA Route 873, Slatington, PA 18080.  Online Condolences: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com
