Robert A. Egan, 86, of Pine Run Road, Lehighton, Towamensing Township, Pennsylvania, died Saturday evening, May 7, 2016, at Summit at Blue Mountain Health Systems, Lehighton. Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, he was a son of the late John and Gertrude (Monahan) Egan.
Robert was employed as a Detective for the Woodbridge Police Department, New Jersey, for over 30 years, retiring in 1982. A veteran of Korea, he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Survivors: Daughters, Renee Callahan, Rita "Andrea" Egan, Roberta "Bobbie" Paes, all of New Jersey. Son, Joshua H. and wife Erika, with whom he resided. 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter, Ruthann Maciolek.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Miller Funeral Home, Lehighton, Pennsylvania.
Contributions may be made in his name to the charity of one''s choice.
