Robert R. Hartman , 84, of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, died unexpectedly at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, on Monday evening, April 10th, 2017.  He was married to "his dear wife" Elaine (Leikel) Hartman for the last 64 years.  He was a mason contractor for 43 years.  Robert also worked for Camelot Custom Building of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, until his retirement in 2010.

He was a Jehovah's Witness and served as an Elder in the Lehighton Kingdom Hall.  Robert had the privilege of working on many international building projects as well as Kingdom Hall projects for his God Jehovah.  He loved talking to people about the Bible and the hope of the Kingdom.  Robert also enjoyed his summer fishing trips to Canada.

Born in Hamburg, Berks County, he was the son of the late Herman, Sr. and Verna (Stoudt) Hartman.

Survivors: Brothers, Herman Jr., Richard and wife Lorraine, John.  Sister, Shirley Trainer.  Sister-in-law, Ruth Hartman.  He was predeceased by a brother, George, brother-in-law Norman, and sisters-in-law, Diane and Elizabeth.  Also surviving are 4 children, Barbara Chyko and husband Joseph of Weatherly, Lisa Gassanja and husband Joseph of Norristown, Michael Hartman, Mark Hartman and wife Carrie all of Lehighton.  13 Grandchildren.

Services: Memorial Services, 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Lehighton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 714 Golf Road, Tamaqua, PA 18252.  Arrangements are by Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA 18235.
