Robert C. Kunkle, 78 of Cherryville, PA passed away peacefully at his home with his devoted wife by his side on December 11, 2022. Born September 14, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Earl Kunkle and Marguerite (McKeaney) Kunkle. He was the beloved husband to Lois (Klinger) Kunkle, with whom he shared 36 years together.
Bob was a graduate of Lower Moreland High School, and he was an Eagle Scout Award recipient. He worked for years in business machine repairs with his last employment at Office Max, Whitehall, PA. He followed the rituals of the Catholic Church throughout his life while also embracing other spiritual practices. In 1992 he became an Ordained minister of the Metaphysical Universal Ministries and served St. John's Church of Faith, Allentown, helping with services, and providing support and guidance to those in need. Bob was also a lifelong student and teacher of astrology, meditation, and other metaphysical subjects. He was a former member of the Moose Club, and the Sea of Tranquility Group, and he studied ham radio. He loved cats, music, the beach, Native American culture, gardening, and fixing things. He enjoyed camping, hiking, and running outside to see a rainbow, sunsets, shooting stars and the moon rising over the ocean. His favorite trips were to National Parks of the West, and to Egypt.
Surviving along with his wife Lois are daughter, Rosemarie, wife of Jason Harkins of Elfin Forest, CA, son, Robert Kunkle of Sebastopol, CA; 3 grandchildren; Ella and Jason Harkins and Anya Kunkle; brother, Earl Kunkle and wife Susan of Wildwood, NJ. He was predeceased by brothers, James, John, and twin Richard Kunkle and sisters, Elizabeth Scott and Marguerite Kunkle.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday December 19, 2022 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA, 18067. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to services. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
