Robert B. Morris

Robert B. Morris, Jr., 86, of Kennetta Lane, Palmerton, Towamensing Township, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday afternoon, Sept 11, 2018, at Brookmont Healthcare Center, Effort, Chestnuthill Township.  He was the husband of Mrs. Elizabeth H. (Hillegass) Morris.  Born in Mount Holly, NJ, he was a son of the late Robert B., Sr. and Marie (Haley) Morris.

Robert was employed as a chemical engineer/plant inspector by the former Houdry Labs, Philadelphia, Marcus Hook, and Allentown, later, Air Products Corp., of Allentown, for many years until retirement.  He served his country honorably as an Army Veteran, serving during Korea Era, Stateside.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed skiing, fishing, fly fishing, hunting, hang gliding, wind surfing, building and flying his ultralight aircraft, sailing, especially racing Hobie Cat catamarans.

Services: wife, Elizabeth.  Daughters, Cynthia McCoy of Paw Paw, MI, and, Christine wife of Kurt McDonough of Portage, MI.  Sons, Michael and wife Barbara Morris of Delran, NJ, Brinton of Portage MI, Edward "Ted" and wife Jocelyne of Denver, CO, and, Gregory of Columbia, SC.  11 grandchildren. 6 great-grandchildren. Sister, Sandra Vandergrift of Goodyear, AZ.  He was predeceased by a grandson, Timothy, and sister, Joy Dougherty in 2017.
