Robert S. Rex

Robert S. Rex, 81 of Nazareth, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network in Bethlehem. Born January 15, 1939 in Sciota, PA, he was the son of the late Gordon Rex and Mary (Schaffer) Rex. He was the husband of the late Joyce K. (Atwell) Rex who passed away in June 2018.

Robert honorably served his country in the United States Navy where he earned the rank of Chief Petty Officer over a 24 year career. His specialty was on Submarines as a Torpedo Technician. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Nazareth, PA. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed bowling with his wife in several mixed leagues both in NJ. and PA. He was fortunate to bowl a perfect game in NJ.

Surviving are son, Jeffrie A. Rex and fiancé Danielle MacDonald of Summerville, SC, grandchildren, Stephen, Daniel, Kayla, Ashleigh, Blaine and Courtney and great grandchildren Michael, Chase, Zelda and Harper. He was predeceased by sons, Derek in 2014, and Michael in 2016, as well as a sister, Patricia Griffith.

A private memorial service for family will be held along with future private entombment at Arlington National Cemetery, VA. Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center St,, Nazareth, PA, 18064, has been entrusted with his care and arrangements.
