Robert E. Schaffer

Robert E. Schaffer, 80, of Interchange Road, Lehighton, Towamensing Township, died peacefully early Thursday morning, July 7, 2016, in his home. He was the husband of Mary C. (Lagomarsino) Schaffer since January 31, 1959. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Michael and Gertrude (Smith) Harkins.
Robert was employed as a machinist for Alpha Laval, Inc., Warminster, retiring in 1994. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton. Robert was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Bristol and Slatington.
Survivors: Wife, Mary. Daughter, Rosemary wife of Paul Johnson of Slatington. 4 grandsons, Justin, Brandon, Caleb, and Dalton. He was predeceased by daughter, Mary C. Broyles in 2005, and a sister Ethel Logan.
Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Campton Funeral Home, Inc., 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment, Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery, Stoney Ridge Road, Palmerton, PA 18071.
