Robert F. Spangler

Robert F. "Bobby" Spangler , 81, of Weatherly, PA, passed  away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Forest Hills Rehab Center in Weatherly, PA. Born June 27, 1943, in Berlinsville, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Pauline (Guldner) Spangler. Bobby was the loving husband of Nancy Spangler for 59 years.

Bobby started his working career at a young age, employed by the Trojan Powder Company, he was an explosives fabricator for 22 years.  He then felt the need for a change and moved to the Zinc Company of  Palmerton, PA, where he worked as a Mold Operator for 20 years. Lastly, he worked for Deer Park Spring Water as a Fork Lift Operator for 10 years before retiring in 2011. Bobby loved to watch NASCAR, with some of his favorite drivers being Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt Sr., & Jr., and most recently Kyle Larson.  In his younger days he raced cars himself, drag racing and winning at Nazareth Speed Way, and also participating in their dirt track races.

Survivors: along with his wife; Son, Scott Spangler and wife Barbara of Roundup, MT.  Granddaughter, Montana Spangler of NY.  Step-granddaughter Cayla Mahrer and husband Marcus of Forman ND.  Step-grandson Cameron Enderson and wife Marie of Wyndmere ND.  Step-great-grandson Walker Enderson of Wyndmere ND.  Sisters Barbara Grabarits of Northampton, PA, and Shirley Lukach of Philadelphia, PA.

Services: Private and at the convenience of the family. Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA, has been entrusted with his care.
