Robert A. Wescott

Robert A. Wescott, 74, of Heritage Village, Walnutport, Lehigh Township, Pennsylvania, died suddenly Saturday morning, March 11, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, after being involved in a vehicular accident.  He was the husband of M. Jane (Snyder) Wescott since February 14, 1992. Born in Mount Pocono, Monroe County, he was a son of the late Albert S. and Madeline (Nauman) Wescott.

Robert was employed as a house painter for the H.R. Rice Company, Nazareth for many years.  Later, he worked for L&M Fabricators.  He was a member of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cherryville, where he enjoyed volunteering at "Hope Fest".  An avid hunter and fisherman, Robert was a member of Petersville Rod and Gun Club.  He was also a member of the Walnutport Canal Association.

Survivors: Wife, M. Jane.  Daughters, Loretta wife of Darrin Mendenhall of Rock Hill, SC, Pamela Holubowski of Danielsville, Catherine Ann wife of Rodney Miller of Slatington.  Sons, Bill and wife Heather Wescott of Lake Jackson, TX, Jeff Housel of Northampton.  9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Sisters, Ruthann wife of Kenneth Williams of Tannersville, Beverly wife of Larry Varvel of Cresco.  Brother Edwin and wife Barbara of Canadensis.  Sister-in-law, Jean of Cresco.  Several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Alvin.

Services: Memorial Services, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Hope Lutheran Church, PO Box 1030, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, PA 19035.  Call, 10:00-11 a.m. Saturday in the church.  Private Interment.  Arrangements are by Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067
