Robert D. Williams

Robert D. Williams , 86, of Lehighton, PA, died peacefully early Wednesday morning, March 16, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital, Carbon Campus, Lehighton.  He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Steigerwalt) Willams, who passed in 2015.  Born in Franklin Township, he was a son of the late Theodore P. Sr., and Maybel (May) Williams.

Robert was employed by the former New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton, for many years.  He was a member of Dinkey Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield.  An Army veteran, he served during the Korea Era, and achieved the rank of SP3 E-4.  Robert was a member of the American Legion, Lehighton Post, and the Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club, Lehighton.

Survivors: Sons, Kelly and wife Patty of Slatington, and Robyn and wife Beverly of Haines City, FL.  Four grandchildren.  Nine great-grandchildren.  Sister, Virginia wife of Henry Yeakel of Lehighton  Brother, Archie W. and wife Phyllis of Lehighton.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sisters, Jane, Doris, Emma, and Faye, as well as brothers, Theodore Jr., Philip, Richard, and Lester.
