Rolf K. Bungeroth, DR. Ing., born July 20, 1921 in Dusseldorf, Germany, passed away peacefully July 29, 2016. He
is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Charlotte; also his son Marc Bungeroth, daughter Corinna and her
husband Lindsley Van der Veer. His daughter-in-law Betsy Gemmecke live in New Hampshire. He has 4
grandchildren: Rebecca Divita: Heidi and her husband Ryan McClune: Michael Van der Veer: Abby and her husband
Ronnie Bossert. Rolf is the great grandfather of Sophina and Tyler Bossert. He has a surviving brother Herbert and
his wife Doris in Germany.
Rolf enrolled at the University of Berlin in 1939. His education was interrupted by WWII, during which he served in
the German horse drawn artillery on the Russian front. He was wounded in 1943, and his other brother Gunter died
during the war. After the war, he earned is doctorate in engineering in 1950. He worked for Mannesmann Tube
Company, which had been founded by his grandfather. At age 34, he became vice-president of operations in Sault
Ste. Marie, Canada. In 1962, he moved his family to Pittsburgh, PA, and became president of Kocks Pittsburgh
Corp, and later created and owned Eurotech Corp. He retired in 1987 and moved with Charlotte to Gulfstream, FL.
They were able to enjoy many years of golf and travel. Rolf was an avid swimmer. He also had a passion for art until
his vision failed later in life. For the last 3 years Rolf and Charlotte have enjoyed residing at Moravian Hall Square in
Nazareth, PA.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30AM, Saturday August 6, 2016 in Kortz Hall at Moravian Hall Square, 175 W.
North Street, Nazareth, PA 18064. Private Interment, Bethlehem Memorial Park. Arrangements, Bartholomew-
