Ronald P. Brader, 83 of Whitehall, PA, passed away after a brief but courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Phoebe Home, Allentown, PA. Born February 20, 1939 in Coplay, PA, he was the son of the late Richard H. Brader and the late Lorraine C. (Peters) Brader. He was the husband of the late Frances A. (Steinhofer) Brader who passed away in October 2017.
Ronald was a 1957 graduate of Coplay High School who was last employed at Roland & Roland Inc., Bethlehem, PA as a salesman for over 20 years before retiring in 2004. He was a member of St. John's U.C.C. Church, Whitehall, a member of the Coplay Saengerbund, Fullerton Fire Co., and Ranger Lake Rod & Gun Club, Whitehall, PA. An avid outdoorsman, Ronald enjoyed his hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed time at the ocean spending his last few summers in Ocean city, NJ. Ron was known for growing Chrysanthemum flowers and was a well known member of the Nazareth Chrysanthemum Club. He served his country as a Specialist 4 grade in the U.S. Army during peacetime.
He is survived by two daughters, Joelene Betz of New Tripoli, PA and Holly wife of Jason Marakovits of Whitehall, PA, a sister, Bonita wife of Lynn Bennett of Norristown, PA, three granddaughters; Kate, Lindsey and Emily.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday May 6, 2022 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067. Family and friends may call 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Coplay Cemetery, Coplay, PA.
