Ronald B. Updegrove, 88 of Northampton, PA. died Friday, August 19, 2016, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown, PA. Born in Northampton, PA, he was the son of the late Lester and Hattie (Hapter) Updegrove. He was the husband of the late Catherine H. (Fota) Updegrove who passed away September 2012.
Ronald was employed by the Keystone Cement Co., Bath, PA. as a laborer for 5 years before retiring in 1993. Prior to he worked in the same capacity for the former Atlas Cement Co., Northampton, PA. for 25 years until its closing. Ronald was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Coplay, PA. He served his country as a U.S. Navy veteran during peacetime.
Surviving are daughters; Mrs. Barbara Deily, and Kathy A. wife of Jeffrey Szerencsits both of Northampton, PA; A grandson, Will Stout, Northampton, PA. He was predeceased by a grandson Michael Stout and a brother, Vincent Updegrove.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday August 23, 2016 at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton PA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Interment will follow in Allen Union Cemetery Association, Northampton, PA.
