Ruth Holtzer, 99, of Lehighton, formerly of Walnutport, Pennsylvania, died on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton.  Born August 28, 1918, in Little Gap, PA, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Nora S. (Daneker) Borger and wife of the late Alvin "Jack" Holtzer.

She worked at the former Keystone Lamp Factory, Slatington, for twenty years before retiring in 1973.  Ruth was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bowmanstown and was a life member of the Bowmanstown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors: She is survived by a son, Gordon D. Holtzer of Rome, New York.  Sister, Kathryn Strohl of Walnutport.  Son-in-law Ronnie Strohl of Homosassa, Florida.  Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Doris Strohl, brothers, Kenneth and Henry Borger, sister, Evelyn Howard, and, grandson, Gordon.

Services: The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at the Campton Funeral Home, Inc., 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Officiating will be Rev. Denton Kees. Interment will follow at Towamensing Cemetery, 3rd Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton, PA 18071. Online Condolences: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com
