Ruth A. Zimmerman

Ruth A. Zimmerman, 88 of Bath, PA, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday morning, May 26, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest Campus in Allentown, PA. Born March 1, 1938 in Northampton, PA, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy F. Person, Sr. and the late Minerva M. (Easterday) Person. She was the wife of the late Roland J. Zimmerman, Jr. who passed away on June 26, 1997.

Ruth attended Northampton Area Senior High School and was last employed as a Examiner for the former Cross Country Clothing Factory, Northampton for 35 years until it's closing in 1995. She was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Emmauelsville, PA.

Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Louise R. wife of Curtis Fisher of Bath, PA, brother, Charles Person and wife Betty, sisters, Lucille wife of William Sobiesiak, Ms. Althea Person and companion Robert, and Kathleen wife of Stephan Krywonis all of Bath, PA, granddaughters, Jennifer Fogel and companion Brian Hinkle, Nicole wife of Timothy Wall both of Northampton, PA. great-grandsons; Curtis, Dakota, Taylor, and Noah Wall along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Kenneth in 1961, and a brother LeRoy F. Person, Jr. and his wife Judith.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday June 2, 2026 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. 18067 with the Rev. Rachel Ziese Hacker officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Emmanuel's Union Cemetery- Valley View, Emmanuelsville, PA.
