Sadie M.J. Chabak, 91 of Northampton, PA. died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born July 26, 1926 in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Frack and the late Hilda (Beil) Frack. She was the wife of the late George M. Chabak who passed away in 1988.
She attended Northampton High School before going off to work as a sewing machine operator for the former Universal Pants Factory for 30 years until it's closing and then at Cross Country Clothes for 5 years until retiring in 1988. She was a member of Grace U.C.C. Church, Northampton, and a Life member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Walnutport, PA. Sadie enjoyed baking and cooking.
Surviving are son, George Chabak and wife Janis of Birdsboro, PA, daughter, Jean F. wife of Elmer Faust of Northampton, PA; 2 grandchildren, David and wife Marcia Chabak of Midland, TX, Amy Beth Chabak of Birdsboro,PA. She was predeceased by brother, Oliver Frack, and sister, Dorothea Heistand.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday March 6, 2018 at Grace United Church of Christ, 9th & Lincoln Avenue Northampton, PA. 18067 with the Rev. Heather Kurtz officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM prior to the services in the church. Interment will follow in Allen Union Cemetery Association, Northampton, PA. Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton is in charge of arrangements.
Contributions: May be made to Grace U.C.C. Church memorial fund or St. Luke's Hospice both C/O the funeral home.
