Salem T. Frey, Jr., 84, of Chapel Drive, Mahoning Township, Lehighton, Pennsylvania, died peacefully early Monday morning, October 3, 2016, in his home. He was the husband of Alberta J. (Eberts) Frey since January 14, 1956. Born in Mahoning Township he was the son of the late Salem T., Sr. and Emma (Middlecamp) Frey.
Salem was a life-long dairy farmer in Mahoning Township. He was also employed by the Normal Square Pallet Company, Mahoning Township. Salem was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mahoning Township.
Survivors: Wife, Alberta. Daughters, Tina Mertz of Lehighton, Brenda wife of Steven Baldwin of Kelso, Washington, Sheila wife of Carvin Coombe of New Ringgold. Sons, Gary and wife Crystal of Lehighton, Paul and wife Gwendolyn of Groveland, Florida. 11 grandchildren. 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. 3 half sisters and 3 half brothers. Several nieces and nephews.
Services: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA 18235. Call, 12:00Noon - 1:00 p.m., Thursday, in the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Christoper deForest. Private Interment.
