Sandra E. Gilbert

Sandra E. (Danner) Gilbert , 69, of S. 1st Street, Lehighton, Pennsylvania, died suddenly early Monday morning, September 20, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital, Lehighton Campus.  She was the wife of John D. Gilbert since September 16, 2017.  Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Richard, Sr. and Estella (Flickinger) Danner.

Sandra was employed as a CNA for various home health care companies over the years.  She was a member of the Living Hope Lighthouse Evangelical Congregational Church, Palmerton.  A 1970 graduate of the Palmerton High School, she was a member of the Lehighton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.  Sandra enjoyed bowling at Fritz's Lanes, Lehighton, attending bingo, casino trips, and a great LOVE OF DANCING.

Survivors: Husband.  Daughters, Tracy Danner of Indianapolis, IN, Sarah Joy wife of Jonathan Benuska of Tunkhannock, and Kristen Danner of Lansford.  Sons, William and wife Megon Burkit, Keith Burkit, and Bryan Grey all of Palmerton.  14 grandchildren.  Sister. Niece and nephews.  She was predeceased by brother, Richard Danner, Jr.

Services: 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 27, 2021, Living Hope Lighthouse Church, 705 Third Street, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 4:00-5:00 p.m., Monday in church. Private Interment.  Arrangements, Miller Funeral Home, Lehighton.  Online Condolences: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
