Sandra A. (Sherer) Markley, 67, of 6th Street, Lehighton, died on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was a daughter of the late Willard and Virginia (Smith) Sherer.
Sandra was employed by the Carbon-Lehigh IU, Schnecksville, as a bus driver, and an aide, for over 15 years. Previously, she was a garment worker and a member of the I.L.G.W.U. She also worked at the former Jim Thorpe Gulf Station, Pipeline Petroleum, and the former Come Back Inn, Aquashicola. Sandra was a 1966 graduate of the Palmerton High School, and she attended St. John's Church of Christ, Palmerton.
Survivors: Daughters, Sherri Anthony with whom she resided, Tammy L. Markley and companion Cliff Haydt of Kunkletown. 4 grandchildren; Derek, Taylor, Tori, and Colby. Brother, Randy Sherer of Palmerton. 3 nieces and a nephew.
Services: Graveside Services at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Towamensing Cemetery, 3rd Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton, PA 18071.
