Sandra L. Micio

Sandra L. Micio , 78 of Allentown, PA, formerly of Northampton-Allen Twsp., PA passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Cedarbrook Senior Care, Allentown, PA.  Born August 12, 1946, in Northampton, PA she was the daughter of the late Orville A. Koehler and the late Irene A. (Miller) Koehler. She was the wife of the late Donald N. Micio who passed away in April 2001.

Sandy was a 1964 graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School who was last employed as a receptionist for the former Kuhn's Family Chiropractor, Northampton, PA for 6 years before retiring in 2002. Prior to, she was the manager for the electronics department for years and at the end she worked in customer services for the former Hess's-North, Whitehall, PA. Sandy was a longtime member of St. John's U.C.C. Church, Howertown, PA. She served as a past Girl Scout Leader for daughters Wendy and Tracey but loved it so much that she continued for many years after the girls were done. She was also a Sunday School and Bible School Teacher for many years and then volunteered in the Church Office in her later years.  She also served on her high school class reunion committee and loved making plans to reunite her classmates every 5 years. Soon after Sandy became a grandmother, her days were filled with diaper changes, reading books, coloring, crafting, and playing outside. As they grew up, she could always be spotted in the crowd at school events and participated in countless field trips.  She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Wendy L. Bogle of Burlington, NJ and Tracey L. Sechler (Richard) of Allentown, PA; 5 grandchildren; Amanda, Nicholas, Abigail, Christopher, and Caleigh.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday March 3, 2025, at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, PA.
