Sandra E. Scherer

Sandra E. (Goodhile) Scherer , 79, of Oak Street, Palmerton, formerly of Fireline Road, Bowmanstown, died suddenly Sunday afternoon, June 23. 2024, in her home.  She was the wife of the late James A. Scherer who passed in 2016.  Born in Lower Towamensing Twp., she was a daughter of the late Nathan, Sr. and Molly (Jones) Goodhile.

Sandra was employed in retail in the houseware dept. of the former Shea's Hardware, Palmerton, until retiring.  Previously she worked in the same capacity for the former Stemler's Hardware, and the former Costenbader's Plumbing, both of Palmerton.  She was a member of Faith Alive United Methodist Church, Palmerton.  A 1963 graduate of the Palmerton High School, she enjoyed reading, and going for walks.

Survivors: Daughter, Angela M. Scherer of New Ringgold.  Son, Brian S. of Lehighton.  4 grandchildren.  1 great-granddaughter.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters, Janice, Barbara, Margie, and Betty, and brothers, Paul, Nathan Jr., Arlin, Henry, and Ronald.
