Sandra M. Wassum-Eckroade

Sandra M. (Coffin) Wassum-Eckroade , 88, formerly of Slatington and Lincoln Avenue, Bowmanstown, PA, died peacefully Wednesday evening, December 3, 2025, at Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehab Center, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Wassum, and the late Bob Eckroade. Born Slatington, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Arlene (Kibler) Coffin.

Sandra was employed in the bakery as a cake decorator for Weis Markets, Schnecksville, in the gift shop at both Penn's Peak, Jim Thorpe, and PA Turnpike Rest Area, Hickory Run. She was a 1955 graduate of the former Slatington High School and member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Slatington. Sandra enjoyed caring for her dogs and spending time at the West Bowmans Park along the Lehigh River, and watching her beloved Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

Survivors: Nieces, Shelly wife of Forrest Unrath of VA, Lisa Pfrom of Fogelsville, and Stephanie A. wife of Larry Eck of Lehighton. Great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by son, Michael Wassum in 2018, sister, Linda Walter, and a niece, Cindy Kibler Crum.
