Sharon L. Minnich

Sharon L. (Kresge) Minnich , 59, of Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA, passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Friday morning, January 19, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp.  She was the loving wife of Brian K. Minnich since June 25, 1988.  Born in Palmerton, Sharon was the youngest daughter of the late Donald J. and Mary H. (Machalec) Kresge.

Sharon was employed by the County of Lehigh District Court, Slatington, as the office manager.  Previously, she worked as a reporter for the Lehighton Times News.  As an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palmerton, she served as Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and former CCD instructor.  Sharon was a 1982 graduate of Palmerton High School and member of the Palmerton Concourse Club for many years.

She is survived by her husband Brian, her son, Matthew D. and wife Ashlee Minnich of Bel Air, MD, and her daughter, Alyssa R., wife of Evan Burke, of Holly Springs, NC.; grandson, Cameron A. Burke; sisters, Janet Kresge and Nancy Evanish of Wilkes-Barre, and Ann, wife of Terry Woginrich, of Palmerton; sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Redline) Kresge of Schnecksville; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her older brother, Gerald Kresge.

Services will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 243 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM Saturday, January 27th, with calling from 10-11:00AM Saturday in church.  There will be a private interment.  Arrangements are made by Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.  Online Condolences can be offered at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .

Anyone who knows Sharon knows that her family was her pride and joy, with her newest title of Nana being her favorite.  In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes to honor Sharon can do so by making a contribution in her name to her grandson's college fund.
