Sharon Diane Stopay

Sharon Diane Stopay , 73 of Northampton, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Comhar Personal Care Home in Walnutport, PA. Born June 7, 1952, in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Carson Moyer, Sr. and the late Annie (Palmer) Moyer. She was the wife of the late Barry L. Stopay, Sr. who passed away November 22, 2024.

Sharon was a 1970 graduate of Catasauqua High School who was last employed as a Mail Sorter for the United States Postal Service, Allentown, PA location, for many years until retiring in 2015. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton, PA.

She is survived by her children; sons, Barry L. Stopay, Jr. and wife Nicole of Walnutport, PA, Scott M. Stopay and wife Jill of New Tripoli, PA, daughter, Amy D. Gannon and husband Chris of Catasauqua, PA, brother, Carson Moyer, Jr. and wife Jean of Whitehall, PA, sister, Sandra Keck wife of Dale of Whitehall, PA; 8 Grandchildren; Zachary, Jacob, Aiden, Taylor, Luke, Paige, Quinn, and Norah, a great granddaughter; Vida and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 17, 2025, at 11:30AM at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. Friends and Family may call from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM prior to the services. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
