Sheila A. (Scheirer) Demeter

Sheila A. (Scheirer) Demeter, 81, of Nectarine Road, Danielsville, Lehigh Township, PA, formerly of Washington Street, Allentown, died Tuesday evening, July 14, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Eugene E. Demeter who passed in 2002. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Frederick G. and Catherine M. (Ferry) Scheirer.

Sheila was employed in the data processing department of the Dun & Bradstreet Corp., Allentown, for many years until retirement. She was a member of Immaculate Conception BVM Church, Allentown, and attended St. Nicholas RC Church, Berlinsville. She was a 1962 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. Sheila had a big caring heart, family, friends, and her pets were her biggest joy in life. She was an avid Elvis Presley Fan who enjoyed reading, and dining. Her favorite color was blue, and family wishes attendees to wear a shade of blue.

Survivors: Daughter, Cathleen E. wife of Scott E. Missmer with whom she resided. Grandchildren, Symantha, and Dalton. Great-grandson, Greyson. Sister, Sister Rosemary Scheirer of Sisters of St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown, Montgomery County. Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30AM Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at St. Nicholas Church, 1152 Oak Road, Walnutport (Berlinsville), PA 18088. Call, 9:30-10:30AM Tuesday in the church.
