Sherwin "Butch" D. Haman, Sr.

Sherwin "Butch" D. Haman, Sr., 75, of Mount Pocahontas, Albrightsville, Penn Forest Twp., PA, died Monday morning, October 2, 2023, in his home.  He was the husband of the late Joan M. (Strohl) Haman who passed in 2022.  Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Frank and Mildred (Nothstein) Haman.

Butch was employed as a mechanic for Split Rock Resort, Lake Harmony, until retirement.  Previously, he worked in the same capacity for the former BP Service Station, Lehighton, and as a steward for Andreas Sporting Club.  Butch was a member of the Lehighton Vol.  Fire Co., Andreas Sporting Club, and the Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club.  In his early years, Butch and his late brother, "Snitz", raced modified cars #98 & #99, at Mahoning Valley Speedway.

Survivors: Daughter, Tammy A. Easterday of Albrightsville.  Son, Sherwin D., Jr. of Albrightsville.  Grandson, David.  Several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sister, Sharon, and brothers, Frank "Snitz", and Darryl.
