Shirley M. Christman-Mcfarland

Shirley M. (Steigerwalt) Christman-McFarland , 85, of Columbia Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died Thursday afternoon, December 2, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital - Carbon Campus, Lehighton.  She was the wife of the late John McFarland.  Born in Slatedale, Washington Township, she was a daughter of the late James and Florence (Rausch) Steigerwalt.

Shirley was employed as a seamstress and machine operator by the former Fernbrook Manufacturing Company, Forest Inn.  She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. Shirley enjoyed bingo and fishing.

Survivors: Sons, Barry Christman, Sr. of Danielsville, Carl Christman of Lehighton, and Larry D. and wife Tracy McFarland of Palmerton.  16 grandchildren.  18 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by daughters Debra Heintzelman, and Patricia Flyte, and sons, Gary Christman, and Edgar "Junny" Christman.
