Shirley A. Mooney

Shirley A. (Neff) Mooney , 69, of Oak Street, Palmerton, PA, died peacefully early Wednesday morning, August 13, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her family.  Born in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late James Neff and Mrs. Shirley (Stuckley) Neff of Lehighton.

Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  She was a 1974 graduate of the Lehighton High School.  An avid guitarist, she enjoyed singing and all types of writing, especially poems.

Survivors: Sons, Cameron L. Mooney and companion Allison Brocius with whom she resided, Ryan P. Mooney and companion Sara Fink of Lehighton, and Eran M. Mooney of Camp Hill, Cumberland County.  4 grandchildren, Devin, Eidan, Olivia, and Harleigh.  Sister, Sara wife of Todd Mertz of Lehighton.  Brothers, James of New York, John, Joe and fiancee Lisa Miller, all of Lehighton, and Jesse of Jim Thorpe.  Aunts, Norma, Lana, and Linda, and Uncles, Paul, Ruffe, and Francis.
