Stanford S. Frantz
, 87, formerly of Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, died Saturday morning, March 4, 2017, at Whitehall Manor. He was the husband of the late Jenny (Sorinsky) Frantz, who passed in 2013. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Monroe and Myrtle (Stroup) Frantz.
Stanford was a high school teacher employed by the Palmerton Area School District for over 25 years until retiring. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Palmerton. Stanford served stateside in the Army, achieving the rank of Pfc, Peacetime. He later served as a caretaker of The Boy Scout Camp Trexler in Jonas, for several years.
Survivors:
Daughter, Amy Stauffer of Roanoke, Virginia. Sons, Scott and wife Susan of Kunkletown, James and wife Sherry of Penfield, Clearfield County. 7 grandchildren, Jason, Rachel, Michael, Daniel, Timothy, Stacy, and Eric. 5 Great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Stinson, Robert, and Donald.
Services are at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Campton Funeral Home, Inc., 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.
