Stanley E. Confer

Stanley E. "Stosh" Confer, 87 of Catasauqua, PA passed away peacefully on November 8, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born November 16, 1934 in Northampton, PA, he was the son of the late George Confer and Lillian E. (Snyder) Confer. He was the husband of Patricia L. (Spess) Confer with whom he shared 18 years of marriage this past April 24, 2022.

Stanley was employed by Lehigh-Hansen- Heidelberg, the former Essroc Cement, Nazareth, PA in the pack house for thirty years before retiring in 1996. Prior to, he was employed as a deliveryman for Lehigh Valley Dairies, Allentown, PA. He honorably served his country achieving the rank of A/2C in the Air Force during the Korean War. Stanley loved playing baseball in his earlier years, he also enjoyed the game of golf, and he was a life member of both the Northampton Raccoon Club and the American Legion Post #426, Coplay, PA.

Surviving along with his wife Patricia are daughter, Lynn J. Ujvary (Glenn) of Danielsville, PA. Step-son, Troy Bundy(Jean) of W. Easton, PA, step-daughter, Colleen A. Gubish and companion Michael Burns of Walnutport, PA, 3 Grandsons; Shad Confer (Nicole), Matthew Confer (Cassie), and Tyler Ujvary (Emilie), 2 Step-Grandchildren; Eric Gubish, Jr., and Andrea Gubish. Great-grandson, Justin Confer, and step-great grandchildren; Eric, III and Ella Gubish. He was predeceased by his first wife, Janice M. (Reinhard) Confer, son, Glenn Confer, and sister, Frances Frack.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA. 18067. Funeral services will follow at Noon with the Rev. Mark J. Ruzicka officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Coplay Cemetery.
