Stephen M. Bohunicky

Stephen M. Bohunicky , 71, of Northampton, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024. Born on January 16, 1953, in Northampton, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Marion Bohunicky.

Stephen graduated from Northampton High School in 1970 and went on to attend Lehigh County Community College. Throughout his career, he was known for his dedication and craftsmanship, spending many years as an assembler at Mack Truck. He also applied his skills as a welder for Gordon Metals Corporation and later served as a quality inspector contributing to major highway projects for the State of Pennsylvania.

Stephen was a gifted artist with a passion for creating welded metal artworks. His unique creations were sold and displayed throughout the Lehigh Valley, showcasing his talent and creativity.

An avid outdoorsman, Stephen found immense joy in hunting, trapping, and fishing. In his youth, he was active in the local trap and skeet shooting community and enjoyed the sports of archery and snowmobiling. He was a life member of the Blue Ridge Rod and Gun Club. His deep connection to nature was a defining aspect of his life.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie, and his granddaughters, Caylee and Cecelia, all of Breinigsville, PA. He also leaves behind his brother, Joseph Bohunicky, Jr., of Macungie, PA; sister, Dolores Kalb, wife of the late Robert Kalb, of Allentown, PA; and brother Brian Bohunicky and sister-in-law Teddi Bohunicky of Pittsboro, NC.

Stephen's life will be honored privately, as per his wishes. In lieu of contributions, he requested that everyone plant a tree in his memory, a fitting tribute to his love of nature and the outdoors.

Stephen will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, artistic talent, and profound connection to the natural world. He will be deeply missed.
