Stephen G. Legath, Sr.

Stephen G. Legath, Sr., 95 of Walnutport, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Liza's House Personal Care Home in Danielsville, PA. Born June 7, 1930 in Northampton, PA, he was the son of the late Annton Legath and the late Lillian (Mitz) Legath. He was the husband of the late Loretta K. (DeHaven) Legath who passed away on March 17, 2022.

Stephen was a 1948 graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School, who was employed at the Muhlenberg Hospital, Bethlehem, PA for over 15 years before retiring in 1995. He then worked parttime for Wegman's Bethlehem, PA as a Helping Hand for 8 years. Stephen was a member of Queenship of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Northampton, PA. He served his country as a Seargent in the US Army during the Korean War.

Stephen is survived by his son, Stephen G. Legath, Jr. & Patricia Gormley of Delps, PA, daughters, Kathy L. Kremus wife of Mark of Danielsville, PA and Robin A. Wolfer wife of Joseph of Chiefton, CO, sister, Ms. Antionette Clare of Florissant, CO; 4 grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday April 21, 2026 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067 with the Deacon Michael Doncsecz officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Northampton, PA.
