Steven R. Korn, 61, of Northampton, Pennsylvania, passed away Saturday morning, December 2, 2017, surrounded by his family, at home.  He was the husband of Eileen S. (Mersch) Korn since November 1, 1980.  Born in New York, he was the son of the late Karl H. Korn, and Mrs. Giselheid O. (Neumann) Korn of Queens, New York.

Steve lived a full life of hiking, camping, photographing, and spending time with his family.  He was an Eagle Scout, and worked the last 35 years as a Chemical Engineer.  Steve was loved dearly by his family and friends, and known as a gentle, smart man who was passionate about nature, and making people laugh.  His fight with cancer came as a shock, and every step of the way he had a smile on his face, including his last days, when he smiled and bobbed his feet to polka music.

Survivors: Wife, Eileen Korn.  Mother, Mrs. Giselheid Korn. Daughter, Karla M. wife of Christopher Hudock of Royal Palm Beach, Florida.  Sons, Timothy R. Korn of Queens, New York, and, Adam C. Korn of Northampton.  Nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister, Christine Bonowicz in 2003.

Services: A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 12:00Noon - 4:00PM, at the Weaversville Inn, 6916 Weaversville Road, Northampton, PA 18067.  Arrangements are by Schisler Funeral Home, Inc., 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067.  Online Condolences: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com
