Susan I. Hess

Susan I. Hess , 74 of Nazareth, PA, passed away at her home on Friday, January 3, 2025. Born November 10, 1950 in Bethlehem, PA, she was the daughter of the late Beatrice Manning and the late William F. Crane, Jr. She was the wife of the late Frank E. Hess, Jr. with whom she shared 37  years of marriage before his passing in 2005.

She was a Nazareth High School graduate who was last employed by the PA Liquor Control Board as a Sales Clerk/Cashier for the Nazareth Wine & Spirits store for 11 years before retiring in 2012. Prior to she was a Cashier / Clerk for the former Laneco Store, Nazareth, PA for many years.  Susan was an avid reader who loved to curl up on the couch with a good book, she also enjoyed a good game of Bingo.

Susan is survived by her 3 daughters, Cindy S. wife of Brian M. Schmidt, Wendy I. wife of Lance Shiffert, and Kelly A. wife of Joshua Krause all of Nazareth, PA; 6 grandchildren; Brian Jr., Blaine, Bailey, Abbey, Katrina, and Julian. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard L. Manning in 2002.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday January 9, 2025 at Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street Nazareth, PA, 18064. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery - Moore Twsp., Bath, PA.
