Susan L. Schalk

Susan L. Schalk , 67 of Bushkill Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus, Bethlehem Township. Born November 22, 1955 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Grant W. and Sara G. (Smith) Walizer.

She worked as a Registered Nurse for LVHN Home Care for many years. She also volunteered at the Bushkill Township Fire Company Fire Hall events and played saxophone for the Nazareth Community Band. Susan was an active member of Schoeneck Moravian Church.

She is survived by daughter, Andrea M. Beers of Bushkill township, sisters, Glenda R. Cucinotta of Chicago, IL and Jill A. Garcia of Palmer Township, brother, Terry G. and wife Patricia Walizer of Saylorsburg .

Services: The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a 2:00 PM funeral service, all on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nazareth Community Band in care of the funeral home.
