Susan E. Zelinsky

Susan E. (Heiney) Zelinsky , 73, of Palmerton, PA, died at her residence on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.  Born in Japan, she was the daughter of the late Verda Heiney.  She was the wife of the late John Zelinsky, Jr., who passed in 2003.

Susan enjoyed wrestling and was very involved in the Palmerton wrestling program in the 70's and 80's - one could hear her in the stands cheering.  She loved the music of Smokey Robinson and Patsy Kline.  She was a hard worker, always giving even when having little to offer.  Susan loved her kids very much and adored being a grandmother.  She was very proud of her Japanese heritage.  Susan worked at the Bowmanstown Diner, Perkins, and the Lehighton Boulevard Diner as a waitress for 25+ years.

Survivors; Sons, Frank and his wife Genna Zelinsky of Farrell, PA, and Jay and his wife Marcy Zelinsky of Palmerton.  6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.  Son-in-law, Matt Merkel.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Nicole Merkel.
