Sylvia M. (Green) Behler, age 91, of Northampton, PA, formerly of Palmerton, died peacefully on October 26, 2026 in her home. She was the loving wife of the late Carl A. Behler who passed in 2019. Born in Kunkletown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clark and Beatrice (Borger) Green.
Sylvia was employed as a seamstress for many years at the former Scotty’s Fashions Co. in Little Gap and in Palmerton, and a member of the ILGWU. She was a 1954 graduate of the SS Palmer High School, and a member of St. John’s Towamensing Lutheran Church, Palmerton, where she and her loving husband Carl of 62 years were married in 1957.
Sylvia volunteered with the Palmerton Ambulance for a few years to help transport patients from their home to the hospital. She also sang on the senior church choir many years ago. But Sylvia’s main focus in life was lovingly caring for her family. After her husband Carl retired, Sylvia and Carl traveled on many cruises and tours across the country. They enjoyed these trips immensely which gave them fond lifetime memories.
