Terrence C. O'Neil , 76, of Palmerton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital – Carbon Campus in Lehighton.  Born February 29, 1948 in Amsterdam, New York, he was the son of the late Joseph O'Neil and the late Catherine (Fredghtenburg) O'Neil.  He was the husband of Deborah (Vollmer) O'Neil with whom he shared 23 years of marriage this October 5, 2024.

Terrence was a Police Officer with the Philadelphia Police Department for 40 years, serving as Officer, Detective, Highway Patrol, and Traffic Officer, until retiring in 2013.  Terry was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Palmerton.  He served his country with honor in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  Terry enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, shooting, riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, and singing.  He had a knack for art and was known for his cooking skills.

Survivors: Wife, Deborah.  Daughters, Kathleen M. O'Neil and Sean Canty of Holland, Jennifer M. wife of Daniel Maloney of Levittown, Stacy M. Goldstein and Ralph Gonzalez of Levittown, and Danielle M. wife of Kyle Schugardt of Palmerton.  11 beautiful grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.  He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Lou O'Neil in October of 2023.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 243 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Family and friends may call in the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery, with Police and full Military Honors, in Bensalem, PA.  Arrangements are by Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to the Sacred Heart Church Memorial Fund, the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer's Association, all in care of the funeral home.
